Who is Petoskey Electric?

Mark Rouwhorst, Master Electrician and Owner of Petoskey Electric, has been in the trade for over 20 years. He has a variety of experience ranging from heavy industrial to light residential and everything in between. He has the skill and strength to handle the heavy duty work as well as the finesse required to hang that fragile chandelier above your dining room table! 

Why Petoskey? A little over 12 years ago, Mark married his beautiful wife, Ciarra, who was already living in Petoskey. When he arrived, he immediately fell in love with this small town nestled right on the Little Traverse Bay. With breath-taking views of blue waters and rolling hills scattered throughout this area, he knew this was where he wanted to stay. Also, the people of Petoskey and really Northern Michigan in general fit his personality. He is hard-working, polite, kind, and considerate, which is typical of people in this beautiful area.

With a trade he loves to do and a place he loves to live in, he decided to open Petoskey Electric! He is planning on remaining small enough to offer personal service and keep overhead low, so prices can stay the same. Initially, Mark Rouwhorst was the sole electrician of Petoskey Electric. He was used to working by himself and is very proficient at it. However, recently because of demand 2 journeyman and 2 apprentices have joined. Now, as a crew of five, Petoskey Electric is even more ready to handle your needs! Whether you work with Mark, Austin, Brandon, Jese or Jonah, we are sure you’ll be pleased with your experience!
